For centuries, love spoons have been cherished gifts in Wales. Ornately designed and decorated, these spoons were made with love.

El Salvador

Valentine’s Day in El Salvador is knowns as Love and Friendship Day, and a special game called Amigo Secreto (“Secret Friend”) is played. Similar to White Elephant, each player draws names. They take turns describing one trait they like about the person they chose, and everyone has to guess who it is about.

• A notecard explaining the Welsh Love Spoon tradition
• A notecard explaining how to play Amigo Secreto
